![]() The OP came from a Fostex (I did too), think of it this way. The mixer sliders in Reaper control only the playback volume of a track, including for monitoring when you are recording, but not the recording input level. just re-read above post and I'm sure that if you record input (normal) for Reaper you can adjust slider all you want and it makes no difference to the recorded level, it's just the monitoring /listening level dave oh and also of course, on playback the sliders are the volume adjustment for the track. Hope this helps, but whether i'm right or wrong, this forum can and will help you if we all keep our boiling points a bit lower. I think this will record any processing that you have on the track (vst, effects ect) but you still have to make sure your input is not too loud or soft cos if your controlling the record level with the slider, you must still get the input level correct by using the interface level control. That being said, the other posts were trying to tell you that if you set track to 'record output' then instead of recording the uncontrolled input signal you can record the adjustable output of the track using the slider. As far as I know, the input record level cannot be adjusted in Reaper, you need to make that adjustment with your external interface. Make sure your precious high-quality digitally-recorded analog sound from the site’s complete full-length song play to a recording software should not have a muffled sound and sound distortion even when exporting audio.Hi, it took me awhile to understand the sliders in Reaper.
